01 / Identify
Match products and package sizes carefully, so a comparison starts with the same thing.
PriceProof / project brief
We’re building a consumer price-evidence product for shoppers who want more than a crossed-out number. The idea is simple: keep prices over time, match the exact product, and show the details behind a comparison.
RED HANDED is still in development. The first focus is a browser extension and photographed shelf prices at US big-box retailers. Those are plans, not capabilities available today.
The rule
Evidence before accusations.
A different price doesn’t tell the whole story. A useful comparison needs the product, package, date, and source to line up—and it needs room for uncertainty.
Prices don’t lie here.
A fairer price for everyone
What we’re building toward
01 / Identify
Match products and package sizes carefully, so a comparison starts with the same thing.
02 / Document
Keep a dated source with each observation, including photographed shelf prices as the project develops.
03 / Explain
Make price history understandable and shareable, while being clear about what the evidence can’t prove.
No retailer findings, product prices, or customer stories are being presented while RED HANDED is in development.
